im looking to purchase a new monitor and am in the market for one that features ‘Opticlear’ technology. This feature basically brightens and sharpens the overall display and can be identified by its glossy screen as opposed to the standard matte surface of traditional LCD’s. i normally don’t associate health precautions with computer equipment but im concerned whether or not the brighter display of these monitors can potentially cause stress to the eyes after extended periods of use. i currently have a CRT monitor that i had to adjust the brightness on since it begins to strain on my eyes after awhile.
i don’t believe my eyes to be extra sensitive to screen glare but perhaps they are. either way i am wondering if anyone can give their two cents about this, particularly those who have this style monitor. for the record the one i am interested in is the NEC Multisync 70GX2 (or possibly the 90GX2).

Clear, Anti-glare, or Mirror?
Also if I had to choose a place to purchase which would be best? Amazon or Ebay?
Also!!! Which covers/cases are best/you recommend? Plastic cover or silicone rubber?

I have just put one protector on, but then I found another one in the little package that I bought. Am I supposed to have two on one ipod? Or is it just an extra one just in case I mess up?
It’s from the apple store. The brand is "Power Support: Anti-glare film set for iPod touch 2G"
Thanks!
