is it worth investing in a branded screen protector or just a brand-less one?

I’m about to buy a iPod touch 4g and am wondering if there is much difference between branded and brandless screen protectors also how good are anti glare screen protectors
(also I’m not sure if this is the right category for this question and if it isn’t can you advise me which one to put it in)

Walmart, in the fabrics section, sells plastic. It’s cheap and it’s as good as any brand-name product. But Belkin screen protectors don’t cost much more, are pre-cut and come in a nice little envelope.
Anti-glare? Rub the protector face lightly all over with superfine steel wool (not what you scrub dishes with). That’s about what’s done in the factory to produce an "anti glare coating".
